Hope your brains are ready to learn! We are going to have an awesome year in AP Biology. The course is rigorous but I guarantee we will have lots of fun and this course will be a memorable part of your high school experience.
It has been an interesting year trying to work through the in's and out's of the redesign but we have made it. I am proud of you and want to encourage you to push hard this last week in preparation for the exam next monday. Each one of you has the potential to get a qualifying score. Work on the areas in which you are weak and use all the test taking strategies we have talked about over the last couple of months. Stay focused, study hard and you will do well. I love you guys.
There will be two AP Biology VASS sessions for the 2012-2013 school year. The session dates are March 2nd and April 13th. Additional sessions will be offered and webinars and those dates will be forthcoming in the near future.
This year sessions will end by lunch time. NO LUNCH WILL BE SERVED and there will be NO AFTERNOON sessions. I will keep you updated as I receive information from VASS. Welcome to AP Biology! I hope you had an awesome summer because I did. My family went to Maine and hiked over 30 miles and soaked in more beauty than our eyes could handle. I am refreshed and ready for a great school year. You are a special group of students who will get to be a part of the first year of the AP Biology redesign. I am excited about the changes in the curriculum and the inquiry approach to labs. You will have more time to digest information and apply what you are learning to lab experiments that you design. We are going to start the year with some statistics review and then we hit the ground running with Ecology. I look forward to working with you this school year |
